TabNinja Terms of Service

Effective September 21, 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of TabNinja, operated by Homestead Found LLC, a limited liability company formed in California, USA ("we," "us," or "our"). Contact us at admin@homesteadfound.com, with "TabNinja" in the subject line.

By accepting these terms when creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use account-only features. Our Privacy Policy separately explains how we handle personal information; acceptance of these terms is not blanket consent to optional data processing.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement where you live. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials and devices secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share a personal sign-in to bypass Group permissions or other controls.

TabNinja initially focuses on users in the United States. Access from another country is permitted where lawful, but availability may vary and is not a promise that the service is suitable or legally available in every location. Applicable local laws and mandatory consumer protections still apply.

An account and online authentication are required to begin using TabNinja. Supported features may later work offline on an authenticated device. Some actions, including authorization changes and cloud synchronization, require an internet connection and a valid session.

3. What TabNinja does—and does not do

Early Access

TabNinja is currently in Early Access and is actively evolving. Features, workflows, interfaces, integrations, and supported devices or platforms may be added, substantially changed, limited, replaced, suspended, or removed as the product develops. Some functionality may be experimental, incomplete, or affected by bugs, interruptions, or compatibility changes.

Previews, roadmap statements, and features available during Early Access do not guarantee future availability, a particular release date, or an unchanged experience. Review important records and keep appropriate exports or backups.

The notice and export commitments for material reductions or service closure in section 8 still apply. Early Access does not waive your mandatory legal rights or our privacy and security responsibilities, or authorize undisclosed changes to how we use your information.

Recordkeeping, not financial advice

TabNinja helps you organize personal money records and shared expenses. Figures, balances, forecasts, and reminders depend on the information entered and may be incomplete or incorrect. Check important amounts and obligations against your own records before acting.

TabNinja is a recordkeeping and organization tool, not a financial-advisory or financial-planning service. It does not act as, or represent itself to be, a financial adviser, financial planner, bank, lender, or payment custodian. Its calculations, forecasts, summaries, and reminders are informational tools, not personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, recommendations to take financial action, or guarantees of an outcome. Using TabNinja does not create a financial adviser-client relationship.

For advice suited to your circumstances, consult an appropriately qualified financial planner or financial adviser, with the licenses or registrations required for the services they provide in your jurisdiction. Verify their credentials independently. Consult qualified tax or legal professionals for those needs; do not rely on TabNinja as a substitute for professional advice.

TabNinja does not hold your funds. Recording a payment or settlement in TabNinja is not proof that money moved. Any external payment service you choose is governed by its own terms.

Tracking a subscription, recurring bill, installment, or cancellation task does not make a payment, cancel a merchant agreement, or change what you owe. You remain responsible for those actions and for resolving disputes with merchants or other participants.

4. Your records and shared Groups

You retain your rights in content you provide. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, support, and secure TabNinja and to share it with people you authorize through its features. We may use product-usage information to understand usage trends, troubleshoot problems, and improve TabNinja as described in the Privacy Policy. This is not permission to sell your financial records, publish financial datasets externally, or use your records to advertise other products. Retention after account closure is limited as described in the Privacy Policy and required by applicable law.

Only enter or import information you have a lawful basis to use. Be careful when adding another person's email address, payment handle, or financial information. Do not add unnecessary sensitive information or credentials.

Group access depends on membership and role. People with appropriate permissions may view or change shared records and history. Being in a Group does not itself grant access to someone's separate personal records. Invite links do not bypass authentication and membership checks. You are responsible for invitations and permissions you control.

TabNinja records participants' entries; it does not decide legal ownership of money or settle disagreements between participants. Changes to Group access cannot recall exports or copies already retained by others.

5. Offline use, synchronization, and copies

Records may exist both in your browser and on our servers. An offline change is not backed up merely because it appears on your device. Check sync status and review conflicts or errors. Export important supported records when appropriate; no feature guarantees recovery of every unsynchronized change.

Signing out does not erase saved device records or close your account. Protect your device and browser profile. Clearing browser storage, resetting a device, or losing it can destroy unsynchronized data. Those actions do not by themselves remove server copies or copies held by other participants.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on the devices and browser profiles you use, including strong passcodes, screen locks, current security updates, device encryption where available, and restricted access on shared devices. You must also safeguard downloaded exports and backups. TabNinja does not manage your device security and does not guarantee protection of locally stored records against unauthorized local access, malware, theft, or loss. This does not exclude our responsibility for TabNinja's own security or any obligation or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

6. Free access and any future paid offers

Only features actually made available in your account are included. A planned feature or plan description is not a commitment that it is currently available.

If we offer a paid plan, we will show the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, and applicable refund terms before you purchase. These terms alone do not authorize a charge. A trial offered without a payment method will not automatically become a paid subscription; purchasing requires an explicit checkout. Any future purchase remains subject to mandatory consumer rights. Agreeing to these terms does not by itself purchase a paid subscription.

7. Acceptable use and our software

Do not use TabNinja to commit fraud, violate another person's rights, distribute malware, harass others, or upload unlawful content. Do not attempt unauthorized access, evade security or access controls, misuse invitations, or deliberately disrupt the service. Report suspected security issues to admin@homesteadfound.com without exposing other users' information.

We and our licensors retain rights in TabNinja's software, branding, and design, subject to applicable open-source licenses. We permit you to use the service for its intended purposes under these terms. These restrictions do not remove rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.

8. Suspension, account closure, and service changes

You may stop using TabNinja at any time. To request account closure or data deletion, contact admin@homesteadfound.com. Signing out, deleting a local copy, or removing Google access is not an account-closure request. Retention, shared records, and privacy requests are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material violation, protect users or the service, or comply with law. Where feasible and lawful, we will give a reason and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Contact us to ask for review. Account suspension does not remove your applicable privacy rights.

We may change or discontinue features. For a material reduction or service closure, we will give reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export supported records where feasible, except where urgent security or legal requirements prevent it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We remain responsible for obligations imposed by applicable law.

9. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, TabNinja is provided on an "as available" basis without additional warranties beyond those expressly stated or required by law. This does not exclude mandatory guarantees, reasonable-care obligations, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

10. Disputes and updates

Please first contact admin@homesteadfound.com about a concern so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising legal rights, seeking urgent relief, or contacting a regulator.

We may update these terms. We will show the new effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes, seeking renewed agreement where required. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
